The best group project we’ve never been a part of. The goal? Divest from the death machine. Create a better way, together. We will build it together. A safer place. A softer place. A caring place. A thriving place. A new home for ourselves.

We will celebrate each other. Prioritize each other. Share ourselves. Share our ideas. Listen. Be curious. Be collaborative. Say what we like to do or want to learn, and share what we know needs to be done that is not do-able for our individual. Share the vision, spread the labor, and realize change — together.

With creativity, grief, and joy

No spiritual by-passing here, and no languishing with the reality of our current state. Do we agree our current reality is horrific? Yes. And we need to create a better version? Also yes. Okay, great. Let’s do that. Stay focused together, grieve when grief visits us, and support each other throughout this process of creating a softer, safer, kinder world.

Web Development and Design

Help create the online framework used to support our progress. Ideas and topics currently include: anti-AI measures, resilient hosting options like Fediverse, structure and indexing capabilities for ease of use, intentional adoption arc to meet users where they are, digital toolboxes and best practices for community members, etc.

Liberation Scholars

Goal: use what we know, what has worked before, and what we imagine together to facilitate and create conditions of liberation. This includes: literature recommendations and summaries, historical highlights, connection points to other organizations, suggested collaborations, etc.

Indexing Nerds

The assignment is this: create a Dewy Decimal System of Organizational Liberation. We are out-organized, not out-numbered. The goal here is to change that. Let’s create a landing place where any liberation organizations can key in and contribute, whether in the moment or down the road.

Mutual Aid Heros

Central to the cause is ensuring people have access to the basics – food, water, shelter, safe housing, and health care. In 15 years, hopefully this will be a seamless, embedded process of provision. We know that isn’t currently the case. This group will create the roadmap from current ad-hoc, exhausting efforts to raise support to an intentional, embedded system of community care.
